Phase 1 - SAVE Projects

High School Safe & Secure Entrance & Renovations

This project will being in March of 2025 and should be substantially completed by August 2025, with a goal of complete project completion in December 2025. This project will include:

• New Safe and Secure High School Entrance

• New Wrestling Room

• Renovation of current Wrestling Room to Visitor Locker Rooms & Athletic Training Space

• Renovation of current High School Office into District Office

HVAC Project:

During the summer of 2024, the Iowa Falls and Alden CSD's installed AC units in Rock Run Elementary, Alden Elementary, Riverbend Middle School and Iowa Falls-Alden High School. Prior to this project, our classrooms did not have access to air conditioning, which created a less than positive learning environment. While we may have only typically dismissed for heat 5-8 school days a year, there were many days were the classroom temperatures were routinely over 80 degrees. This project has enabled us to create a positive and consistency physical environment to help us create a better learning environment.

Rock Run Elementary Playground:

During the summer of 2024, the Iowa Falls CSD invested in a new playground for Rock Run Elementary. Rock Run serves our students in grades 2-5, or about 300 students. This update not only provided a much needed accessible outdoor play space, but has been a great addition to our community. Were the playground was previously empty most weekends (and during the school day), the new playground has extensive use both before and after school hours.

Transportation Building:

With the increased need for transportation with our programs, the Iowa Falls CSD has provided multiple non-bus vehicles for our programs. With this addition to our transportation fleet, we quickly ran out of space for all of our vehicles. This new building allows us to keep all of our vehicles inside during the entire school year.
