Any student that needs to take doctor prescribed or over the counter medications at school will need to bring them to the school office, with the exception of asthma inhalers which can be kept with the student at all times. The medication should be in the correctly labeled bottle with students name, medication name, dosage and instructions on usage. A medication form will also need to be filled out by the parent. Any medication that is brought to school in anything other than the correctly labeled bottle will not be given to the student.
Title XIX and Hawk-I applications are available through the school nurse. If you need help filling out either of these applications, please contact the school nurse at the information provided above.
Injuries at school are treated on site with basic first aid. The school nurse will be contacted if the injury warrants further evaluation. The nurse will contact the parent/guardian in the event that the situation/injury requires a doctor visit or further treatment at home.
