The After School Program is available to Iowa Falls students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. It is a safe, caring, and fun environment where children can learn social skills through making and nurturing new friendships, receive help with schoolwork, and find positive adult role models. We recognize the importance of after school hours on your child’s development and we strive to make the best of these hours by carrying out the program in a comfortable and fun setting.

Some of our daily activities include puzzles, board games, art projects, books, movies, music, team building games, free play, and outdoor activities!

The program is available Monday-Friday starting the first day of school and ending the final day of school according to the school calendar. Our classroom is located in the Rock Run Elementary cafeteria. Services will be available immediately after school until 6:00 PM. Children must be picked up and signed out by an authorized adult via door #6 into the cafeteria. The program will not be available on days school is not in session such as inservice days, holiday breaks, & weather related cancellations. However, if school is dismissed early or convened late, the After School Program will still be available as long as lunch has been served to students by the school.

The Iowa Falls School system will provide transportation for Pineview students to Rock Run after school is let out. It is the parents' responsibility to inform your child’s teacher, as well as the After School Program Director, of any changes in their schedule, tardies, or absences.

Current childcare fees for the After School Program are as follows:

• Regular days: $8 per day

• Early Dismissals: $10 per day

There is a $16/week minimum charge regardless of your child's attendance, to hold their spot. This fee will only be charged if your child has attended less than two days in a week. Ask about the Child Care Assistance Program available through the Department of Human Services.

The After School Program also runs a summer care program. The fees are as follows:

• Half Days (under 4 hours): $15 per day

• Full Days (over 4 hours): $25 per day.
