School District
The Alden School District is located primarily in northern Hardin County and, to a smaller extent, southern Franklin County. The district and serves the communities of Alden, Buckeye, Popejoy, and all country residents in between.

Whole Grade Sharing
The Alden Community School District participates in a whole grade sharing agreement with the Iowa Falls Community School District. Alden students in 7th through 12th grade attend Middle School and High School in the Iowa Falls Community School District.

Regular Board meetings are typically held on the third Monday of the month at 6:30pm in the Alden Boardroom (located at Alden Elementary). June and July meetings are held at noon on the third Monday of the month.
